Why your own street is worth double

A tractor drives a loop, and every driveway on that loop has to be cleared inside one pass of the storm. A driveway on a street we already turn into adds a minute. One on a street we don't costs the turn, both ways, out of everyone else's night. So we pay double for the first kind. It isn't a gimmick — it's the whole reason a flat seasonal price works at all.

How we decide "same street"

The street name on the two addresses has to match, and the postcode too — plenty of towns around here have a Main Street. We read past the spelling, so Circle and Cir and NE and Northeast all count as the same. If you think we got it wrong, tell us and we'll look at it.

When the money moves

• You earn it when their payment clears — not when they click your link.
• We send it about ten days later, back to the card you paid us with. Five to ten business days after that, depending on your bank.
• If we don't have a card of yours, it becomes a credit that comes off your next season — all of it, up to the whole price of the season. Refer enough neighbors and a winter is free. Anything past that carries over.
• Referrals close for the winter on November 30. A neighbor who signs up after that is very welcome; the reward isn't earned on it.
• Credits expire on April 15, two seasons later.

The honest limits

One level only — you earn for the people you refer, not for the people they go on to refer. It doesn't apply to somebody at your own address, or to a household that has ever bought a season from us, or to your own renewal. And if their street turns out to be off our routes, we'll tell them so on the first screen and nobody is charged for anything. Full terms.
